Divenire by Ludovico Einaudi

This is the latest album from Ludovico Einaudi, who is an Italian pianist and composer. I take a lot of inspiration from his work, and many of my "compositions" are improvisations over the chords I have learnt from his pieces. So, I was excited to get this new album. It is a very interesting album, as it blends simple piano-only sounds with some loops and strings. The piano pieces have evolved from his earlier work, and it's great to hear some new and fresh sounds after a few years of the other albums. This is a really good album, and great as background music. There are some beautiful pieces (like 8. L'origine Nascosta), which are just piano, and some strong, almost orchestral pieces too. I like this album a lot, and it makes me look forward to seeing him in concert in March even more! (Live Review to come..)
